Roommate Reunion and Hiking the Y

Well, it's been a fun-filled couple of weeks. My friend Beth just got back from her mission to Temple Square, and to celebrate, Anne and Lorena came to visit! It's been a while since we've all seen each other, and it was so much fun to be together again, even if it was only for a day. We all met my freshman year in college, about 7 years ago, amazingly. Here are some pics from our time together!

We played games, ate tons of good food, and visited with old friends. Of course a trip to Provo wouldn't be complete without a couple trips to the Creamery, J-Dawgs, and hiking the Y. So yes, Alan made his first trip up Y mountain, and did a great job! Or I should say that Scott and Michael did a good job carrying him.

He was vehemently opposed to the idea of wearing a hat.

Touching the Y for the first time.

Woohoo!

Happy May 24th!

This was the view from our balcony this morning. I'm completely serious. We only hope it stays this nice for Memorial Day weekend. :)

Haircut

We've had a few requests to see a picture of our little guy who is starting to look more and more like a toddler and less and less like a baby every day. We trimmed his hair about a month ago, just a little bit around the edges, but we went with a full fledged hair cut this time. I have no idea how to actually cut a baby's hair, because he was constantly twisting and jerking all around. So we did our best. Luckily he's little and blond, and doesn't really care. :)

Here he is eating the number 8 guard which he broke. He's taken to throwing things recently and has developed quite the arm. This was the result. Oh well.

Popcorn Popping

Spring has sprung here in Provo. There are flowering trees everywhere, so for FHE we decided to make some popcorn trees of our own. Here's Alan getting ready for the big event, and trying licorice for the first time. Turns out it's a good teething treat. :)

And the finished products...

Mom's tree....

Dad's tree....

Happy Spring!

Easter!

Well, we're a little late getting around to this due to my lack of video techiness, but I wanted to put up a few videos and pics from Easter. We had a great time. Alan loved dying the eggs, aka eating and breaking the crayons and eggs. On Sunday morning, we read the story of Christ's Resurrection from the scriptures, then went out to find the eggs. Oh my goodness, he had the time of his life. Pretty sure he thought it was the greatest game ever. We also watched General Conference that weekend which was spectacular as always. Later that day we had an Easter dinner for 11 in our little Wymount apartment. Scott, Janelle, Alan, Michael, Savannah, Steph, Marc, Emily, Nate, Megan, & Dean. Woohoo!

I'm way too cool to wear those bunny ears.

Oh my gosh, how did this happen?

Egg. Crayon. Now what? Hmmmm....

The Eggs.

So excited about the egg in my hand, I don't even notice the egg on the floor.

All of my sisters!

I know I'm not supposed to play with cell phones, but I found it in the blue egg!

Visit from Grandparents (#2)

Shortly after the departure of Janelle's parents, Grandma and Grandpa Robertson came from Oregon to visit. We loved having them in town and appreciate them spending their spring break vacation with us. It's great for Baby Alan to get to know his grandparents.

Here's Baby-A wearing one of Grandpa R's famous BYU hats!

Hope you can come again soon!

For Anne....

Alan's first volleyball game.

Scott would like it to be known that Alan really does like Cosmo. It's just that giant cats can be very scary when it's past your bed time.
