Franconia Notch and Santa's Village

Back in July we took a wonderful trip up to New Hampshire. It was only a couple of hours away and we only stayed one night but we made the most of our time and had a super fun trip. We were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Robertson come with us! Here are some pictures from our fun adventure.

Before we left the boys decided to get into the Christmas spirit!
We stopped in Franconia Notch State Park and saw "The Basin" and did a short hike up to Kinsman Falls. There were huge slabs of rock that the kids could play on along the way. It was great for the kids. I'm pretty sure we could have spent all day here and will surely come back!

We didn't have the time to go up Mount Washington. It was also pretty pricey to do the Cog Railway and I think it would have killed our van. But we drove to the base and took a couple of pictures. :)

Santa's Village was a lot of fun! It is a Christmas themed park in New Hampshire and it at was perfect for our kids. They play Christmas carols all day, the workers are all Santa's elves, etc. They had a deal where if you entered after 3pm you could get in free the next day. So we spent the late afternoon there on the first day.

Throughout the park there were these different Elves for every letter of the alphabet. The "Elfabet" Game, they called it. The kids loved punching their cards at each of the Elves.
Feeding the Reindeer was also a hit!

We stayed the night at a hotel up there and ate breakfast at a fun local diner. The kids were thrilled with the size of their pancakes!

Our last elf! It took us a while to find him!!

Everyone had so much fun. We spent half of the second day in the Ho Ho H2O water park...apparently I didn't get pictures of that. But the kids had a blast there as well. Lines weren't very long at all, and we got to do some of our favorite rides multiple times. It was a perfect little trip for our little family!
