So, what did you do two days before your due date?

I know you've been wondering that, so I thought I'd let y'all know. Our beloved Wymount has decided that now is the best time to replace carpets!!! We called to see if we could postpone this service, due to my present condition, and that really didn't seem like a possibility. (probably due to the fact that everyone here is in the same condition!) From watching the progress they've been making around our quad, we realized that they'd probably make it to our apartment, and finish early next week. After our doctor's appointment, we found out that I would probably be a little bit late, making it a very real possibility that I might have the baby ... early next week. We just wanted to get it over with, and replaced the carpet two days before I was due instead. So, we stacked all of our stuff in our...

kitchen,

bathroom,

and on the balcony!

And since everyone has been posting pictures of their baby rooms that they have all nicely prepared, I thought I'd do the same!

Anyway, it was quite an adventure, to say the least. Scott has been wanting to eat at the new Cannon Center before the baby, so we splurged and went there for lunch. Quite an improvement in my opinion. It was overrun with kids here for sports camps, but because of the way it's set up, there was not a single line! Unheard of at the old Cannon Center! It seemed much more efficient. Then because I was stranded from the apartment all day, I decided to head to campus to finish up some things I've been meaning to do there. And if the sports camps weren't enough at the Cannon Center, I found upper campus overrun by EFY....

Absolute madness! This was all quite funny to me as I hadn't actually been to campus for a while. We've decided that BYU must be the most efficient and well-used campus in the world. :)

It actually took them much longer than expected to finish the carpeting, as they were doing several apartments at once. We went back at five and they weren't done, so we went and hung out at Michael's apartment for a little while and ate some dinner. Then we came back at seven and they still weren't finished, so we wasted a little more time. We went and got a free ice cream cone at Macey's and then walked over to Big Lots and sat in their recliners! (that was my favorite part of the day!) We also saw a really bright, full arch rainbow, which the camera couldn't really capture adequately, but here's a try at it...

Finally, when we came home at 8:30 they were done, and we started trying to put our apartment back together again. Needless to say we slept very well last night.

Nothing like keeping busy til the very last minute! At least I'm not just sitting here tapping my toes waiting. We like to keep life interesting, and seem to be pretty good at it. :)

  2. Your posts always make me laugh. :) Oh, I had TJ 3 days early so that wouldn't have worked out too well for us! But we moved 3 weeks after he was born, so I really never set up a nursery for him at first, until we got to our new place...he slept in the living room of our place in provo. :) Keep on staying busy though, otherwise it'll drag!
