Starting School!

Yup. This past September marked our official beginning of entering the world of public school as Alan geared up to start Kindergarten!  We were all a little nervous and excited and it has turned out to be the best thing ever for everyone involved! We had been looking forward to it all summer, and  then a day or two before school started, I started to get a little anxious...had I prepared him enough, etc. The first "day" for kindergartners was an orientation, where I went with Alan. And once we got in the classroom, all of my worries immediately left and I was calm as could be. Alan has a truly wonderful teacher and has had so much fun in class. He has been learning by leaps and bounds and made friends with his classmates very quickly. He loves it!
A few days before school started, Alan tried out his new lunchbox and backpack!

First "real" day
Yep, he was just a little bit excited.
He ran onto the bus. Didn't even get time to snap a legit pic. :)
James also started Joy School this fall. We have a group of 5 moms, with 6 kids between us. I was a little nervous of having such a big class of 3 year olds, but they have been great. James had some trouble adjusting initially, and still struggles with the structure at times, but it has been a good experience for him as well. He is a bright little boy and an excellent singer who likes to do things his own way. :)

So proud of these two school boys!!

  2. Awwww such sweet pictures. I feel like the one of Alan getting on the bus could have been taken at 3 Plymouth Ct. You can definitely tell how much he loves school. Jamesy's photos are spot on, too. Em is right, the photos capture their different personalities perfectly.
