4th of July

So unfortunately at the beginning of the Summer, I came down with strep throat. Alan had an ear infection and then James came down with strep a week later. Not the way we wanted to start our summer. And the Oxborrows had to postpone their trip up here because of our sickness. It was a sad time. So we stayed low for a little while and got to do some of the crafts that I had gotten for the summer time.

The kids loved coloring these masks and putting on a show!
And painting these treasure chests!
Here are some pictures of the 4th of July weekend. Fireworks were on Saturday night. The boys liked them. Lucy didn't. I had to leave with her, because she was freaking out. She was terrified that they were going to "get us." As we walked further away, she was fine to watch them. So we watched from down the street a little bit, and the boys met up with us afterwords!

Sunday afternoon after reading an article from the Friend about the armor of God, these boys decided to dress up!

And so naturally Lucy had to dress up and do the same poses as her brothers
Ninja princess :)
And here are some pics from the Burlington 4th of July parade!

We had a small BBQ with just us to avoid spreading any possible germs, but the kids still had a fun time.

And we're all grateful that no one else got Strep!
