More Summer Randoms

We've been reading the A to Z mysteries series this summer. We really love them. So one day when the boys found a mysterious ring on the floor, they decided to take pictures of it and write a real life mystery story of their own. (Alan is also very into writing books right now.)

The called it the Rubber Ring. And their next story was the Missing Money. Such good kids!

On a Sunday walk

The kids love going to the lake

We got some new bedroom furniture, which we like, but we still haven't managed to put together any sort of color scheme/decorations for the room

One day Alan and James started leaving these notes around for each other. Here's the text:
Dear James, I will be downstairs playing with your imaginext. If you want to play you are welcome to come play too. Love Alan.
To Alan,  I will be doing this. (trapping dolls)

Dear James, I will be riding bikes. If you want to come, that is fine. PS if you don't know what to ride, I would say you could ride the balance bike. Love Alan.

Finally got the new grill cover on!

And we bought this little pool this year! It is absolutely perfect. The kids still have plenty of room to swim and it is just so fun on a hot day!

More fun at the MOS

I have a video of this. It is the funniest thing ever. Lucy and Alan are long asleep and James has decided to draw on himself with pen. He knows he is not supposed to do this, so he wrote "I love Dad. Love Love Love. Love James," to avoid getting in trouble. It worked. :)

We also had a family temple day at our ward's temple activity!
