Joy School Halloween Party

Here are some pics from our super fun Joy School Halloween Party.  The kids had a blast.  We actually had our Thanksgiving party today, but someone forgot to get pictures. :(  So the Halloween ones will have to suffice. :)

Doing a little puppet show about our feelings
We had our own version of the pumpkin toss game.  The kids decorated paper bags and then we took turns knocking them down.
Everyone was nicely waiting their turn (at least in this picture. :)
We made and decorated sugar cookies
Alan with his black pumpkin. :)
And here is the whole crew!  There are actually two Joy School groups in our ward.  We meet separately, but decided to combine for holiday parties.
Here are all the kids preforming their songs.  They did a great job!
A special thanks to Anne who came and helped us run the party!  Tigger and Pooh and their mom sure miss having her around!
At the Thanksgiving party today we discussed the first Thanksgiving, made pilgram hats, talked about gratitude & made these cornucopias.  Snack time was the cutest.  Each child brought a small snack to share (goldfish, chex, marshmallows etc) and we put them into a big bowl, mixed them up and then the kids got to eat them in ice cream cone cornucopias.  So cute.  And the hide the turkey game was a blast too.
We all have had so much fun with Joy School thus far and are grateful for the wonderful friends we've made and the fun times we've had!

  1. Looks like a lot of fun! Love the cornucopia idea!! That was one of our spelling words this last week :) I love what Alan has put in his cornucopia of thankfulness: Food, friends, family home evening, family, and of course, Simba. Classic!
