End of School Fun

Alan's Cultural Fair
Toward the end of the school year, Alan worked hard on a cultural project. He picked a country from his heritage to research and learn about. Alan chose Scotland, and worked very hard finding out information about Scottish culture. He learned about his ancestors from Scotland and some Scottish traditions. He wrote a little report and had to put together a cultural suitcase containing items about Scotland.

Here is Alan's "cultural suitcase." He decorated it with the Scottish flag, pictures of Scottish landmarks, and the Robertson crest and map of the Robertson clan.
Headed to school with his suitcase!
We got to visit his classroom and see Alan's suitcase.
All of the kids in the class did a great job of presenting their suitcases. It was fun to hear about all of their different cultures!

Joy School Graduation
Lucy ended the year with a fun Joy School Graduation. We had a great group of kids this year and they had a lot of fun together. At the end of the year we presented them with their diplomas and all about me books. So proud of these cute kids!

James' Author Day
At the end of the school year, we also got to go into James' classroom and celebrate an Author Day with him. He presented a lot of the work he had done throughout the year. It was amazing to see the progress in his writing and journals from the beginning to end of his kindergarten year. They had some special snacks and we got to see pictures of their year as well. James has loved kindergarten and it was a fun way to end the year.

And here is the bus stop crew on the last day of school! What a fun kindergarten and 2nd grade year!
