Ditson Talent Show and Art Show

This year both of our boys wanted to participate in their school talent show. (which is totally awesome, because neither Scott or I are the type to voluntarily participate in any such thing!) But they were both very determined! Mama was super nervous for them, and Dad was a great calming influence on us all. :) But the boys did SUCH a good job and we couldn't have been more proud of our guys. Alan had been taking lessons online for about 6 months through Hoffman Academy. And James is self taught, but loves piano. :)  Hopefully we can get a video to work here.

Ready to go onstage
The Program...They are acts 8 and 9

Here's a video of the performance!

By the end of the night, this is how Lucy was watching the show...
Here is a pic of some of the participants who stayed til the end and wanted to be included in the photograph....
And here is James showing us his Ditson bee on the wall
About a month after the Talent Show, we had the Ditson School Art Show. Alan decided to enter the art show, and was one of about 75 participants. I was one of the moms that helped to set up and prepare the show. It was a lot of fun!

Alan's piece is seen here in the 4th column above the owl. It is mountains and a sunset. (Sunsets were popular with the 2nd graders this year!) It looked great and we were so proud of him!
Here he is getting his certificate
And the 2nd grade participants

So proud of our kids' talents and hard work!
